Iomega StorCenter Pro NAS 200rL Linux Server Delivers Up to 3TB of High Performance Network Storage

SAN DIEGO, March 4, 2008 – Iomega Corporation (NYSE: IOM), a global leader in data protection and security, today announced the Iomega® StorCenter™ Pro NAS 200rL Linux® Server, a new family of Linux-based rack-mount network attached storage servers in 1TB*, 2TB and 3TB capacities for today’s data-driven small and mid-sized businesses.

The new Iomega Linux NAS servers announced today integrate easily into existing networks and provide high-performance storage for file sharing and backup of critical data. Prices start at €1,249 (EU) for 1TB of capacity.

Iomega will unveil the new Linux-based Iomega StorCenter Pro 200rL NAS servers at CeBIT 2008, the international technology tradeshow beginning today in Hanover, Germany, and running through March 9. Iomega is located at CeBIT in Hall 2, booth D56.

Ideal for small business or workgroup network environments, Iomega StorCenter Pro 200rL Linux servers deliver advanced file services and print capabilities along with enterprise-level hardware features such as hot-swappable drives and RAID data protection. Support for Active Directory Service (ADS) provides domain user and group compatibility with existing Microsoft® Windows™ networks. Built-in print server capability allows users to connect and share up to four USB printers on their network, and EMC Retrospect Express backup software (5 client licenses) is included for Touch-Free™ professional-level backup and disaster recovery (additional licenses available for online purchase from www.iomega.com).

“Iomega’s Linux-based line of NAS servers continues to emphasize performance, value, and usability for SMBs that need secure, reliable network storage for their growing data needs,” said Marc Tanguay, Global Product Manager, Network Storage, Iomega Corporation. “The Iomega StorCenter Pro 200rL provides a cost-effective way to easily add data capacity.”

Advanced Performance

Iomega’s StorCenter Pro 200rL NAS server uses a high-speed Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbps) port to connect to the network and comes with four SATA-II drives that can be configured for RAID 0 (striping), RAID 0+1 (striping plus mirroring), RAID 5 (striping plus parity), or JBOD (spanning) operation. RAID 0 provides maximum performance and operating capacity; RAID 0+1 and RAID 5 provide maximum data security, protecting all data even in the event of a drive failure.

The StorCenter Pro 200rL NAS devices also offer true hot-swappable hard drives, meaning that any one of the four hard drives in a RAID 0+1 or RAID 5 array can be removed from the NAS enclosure while it is running. When a replacement drive is inserted, the NAS device will rebuild the new drive into the existing RAID 0+1 or 5 array without any interruption or downtime. This is an enterprise-class feature that Iomega makes truly affordable to the small business and home office user.

“Small businesses have an ever increasing need to store and safeguard important data,” added Tanguay. “These new Iomega NAS Linux-powered rack-mount servers provide the security and integration that SMB network professionals need, with the dependability and industry-leading customer support that Iomega is recognized for.”

Award-Winning Software for a Total Storage Solution

For secure storage and worry-free backup and disaster recovery, Iomega’s StorCenter Pro 200rL NAS servers include five client licenses for EMC® Retrospect® Express software. Retrospect Express delivers automated, reliable, cost-effective protection for Windows® and Mac® users. Its award-winning design makes it easy to set up and manage highly efficient backups on any personal computer, greatly simplifying disaster recovery. Users can backup open files, verify backup integrity during the backup, have scheduled backups proceed even without logging in, and recover individual files or a complete system to any point in time. Additional licenses are available for purchase online at www.iomega.com
