Biography:

Mr. Mike Nikzad has over eighteen years of experience in the high-tech industry in various leadership and executive positions. Most recently, Mike was an integral member of the executive management team who successfully turned around Iomega Corporation and guided it through an acquisition by EMC, a global leader in data storage.

Mike is Chief Operating Officer at Iomega, an EMC company since June of 2008. As COO, Mike is responsible for all operational and general administration aspects of the business, including product management, marketing, product development, sourcing, supply chain, service & support, and information technology.

Previously, Mike was Vice President of Operations at Iomega. In this position, he led the company’s global operations and supply chain organization in a highly competitive data storage sector with primary focus on delivering profitable growth. Supply chain management at Iomega involves Asia-based sourcing and production of goods, as well as efficient distribution of products to the Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific regions using regional distribution and direct shipment to channel customers. Iomega’s product portfolio includes over 300 products in direct-attached external hard drives, network attached storage, multimedia HDD-based players, optical storage solutions, and other related products.

Mike held other leadership positions for Iomega, including Vice President of Customer Relations and Director of Customer Satisfaction. Mike started his professional career as an engineer at Thiokol Corporation, responsible for design and manufacturing of NASA’s Space Shuttle Solid Rocket Motor nozzles.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Utah State University.
